If Gitdaebong is the north island, this is the south one. Take the uphill lane left of the ferry terminal, pass the park office, and the sunrise viewpoint is about 20 minutes on. Even that short climb frames the harbour and most of the island. A walking route continues to 231 m Yangsanbong.
