From village 1 you climb past the summit and a residents' trail drops into village 2. You finish at the harbour on the far side instead of retracing your steps. The descent toward village 2 sees few walkers and the junctions can confuse; some hikers lost the path near the houses. Only boats link the two villages, so the day hangs on the timetable.
