You climb 5.0 km past the fortress wall and Daehye Falls, through the inner fortress, to the summit. The way down is 2.7 km to Beopseongsa and 1.8 km on to the car park. The total is 9.5 km, and the Gumi city guide calls it a five-hour route. Past the summit you take the steps down toward Yaksaam and turn onto the Beopseongsa path beside a building called Oweoldan. Trip reports say the descent is steeper than the ascent, so poles help sore knees.
