Take the cable car from Geumgang Park up near the South Gate, then walk past the 2nd and 3rd watchtowers to the East Gate. The city opens up at each watchtower, and after the East Gate the path joins the ridge to Godangbong. The climbing is mostly gentle, so average fitness is enough. Come down the same way or take the North Gate down to Beomeosa.
