From the signboard above Cheongnyang-dong village, a forest road climbs 1.4 km to Cheongnyangsa. Left of the temple, log stairs steepen fast, and the first rest platform opens a view of the Gayasan ridge. Past the Rock-Paper-Scissors Rock and the Candlestick Rock, iron stairs lead to the seven-crag summit of Namsan Jeilbong. The way down forks toward Obongsan and follows the flat forest of Dwaejigol out to Chiin, near the Haeinsa tourist hotel.
