From the Beopjeon-ri public parking lot, a forest road toward Bongyang takes about 30 minutes to the Chilbul ridge entrance on the right. From there it is 2.8 km to Chilbulbong, with four iron stairways; the grade gets rougher after the first two. At the top you meet hikers who came up from Baegun-dong. The route opened in June 2024 and is still quiet.
