This is Yangju's Route 5, starting by Donggwangjeongsa. It passes Namseongul cave and Byeongpung Rock, a screen-like wall of stone, before reaching the summit. It is about 200 m longer than the shortest path from the same gate, which passes only a rest spot, and the cave and rock wall are what you get for it. At 1.6 km one way it is short for Gamaksan, but it is steep enough to leave you breathing hard.
