You start on the Songchu side, opposite the Dobongsan station approach. Past the Obong ranger post the path crosses a quiet marsh forest, then climbs the south ridge on stone steps and iron rails. From Yeoseongbong the five-rock crest of Obong stands straight across, and grows as you close in. The way down passes the Songchu Falls junction and follows the valley back to the car park. One trail log clocked it at 8.9 km in 4h34.
