This large temple sits at the foot of Deoksungsan. Its main hall, rebuilt in 1308, is a National Treasure and ranks among the oldest wooden buildings still standing in Korea. The roofline is plain and the pillars straight, and it holds your eye. Many hikers walk a lap before heading up.
