Oenamugol Bridge (Yesuwon entrance), Hasami-dong, Taebaek

From the Oenamugol bridge you pass Yesuwon and reach Gubusiryeong pass at 960 m in under an hour of easy forest walking. Past Saemaegi pass the summit is another 40 minutes or so. From there the Baekdudaegan ridge runs almost flat through Jangambatmok and Hwanseonbong. The hard part comes after Jaamjae: more than an hour of steep, slippery descent to the cave junction. Going down instead of up keeps the climbing short, but your knees do the work. With breaks it ends at the Daei-ri car park in about five hours.
