From the Baekdudaegan ecology centre at Paejae (Sinpungnyeong) it is 7.8 km to Hoenggyeongjae. The ridge keeps rising and dropping, and your legs go in the last stretch. This is the northern start of the main Deogyusan ridge and few people come; another 3.2 km from Hoenggyeongjae reaches Baegambong, where it meets the ridge to Jungbong and Hyangjeokbong.
