Recreation forest entry 1,000 won for adults (free Dec-Mar); parking 1,500-5,000 won

From the car park you follow a forest road up to Gochang Pass, then the ridge to the summit. Allow about 2.5 hours for a round trip of just over 5 km. The path is wide enough for first-timers. A lookout partway up shows the Jangseong side and the West Sea. You come back the same way.
