This one goes up Jungwonsan, a neighbour of the main peak, instead of Gaseopbong. From Yonggyegol in Sinjeom-ri you climb to the Donggyegok saddle, reach the top, then follow the Yonggye stream back down to the start. It is 8 km and about three hours, an easy half-day on the Yongmunsan massif.
