Known for its mungtong jjigae, a stew of aged kimchi and thick chunks of pork. The broth is deep and spicy enough that a bowl of rice disappears fast. Tofu stew, pork belly, arrowroot noodles and boiled pork are on offer, and free-range chicken soup, braised chicken and jjimdak run 55,000 won as larger meals. The setting feels like a country house, drawing families and friends. Even weekday lunch can have a queue.
