The shortest way up Yeongbong starts right from the car park beside the temple. Most of it is iron staircase, some 800 steps, tilted at 60 degrees and in places 70. The distance is short but your legs will complain first. Higher up it joins the route from the Deokjusa side and runs on to the summit.
