Wolchulsan itineraries
Up and down Cheonhwangbong
The shortest line to the summit, with the iron bridge and the Tongcheonmun gap on the way. Afterward, a bowl of bibimbap at the lodge restaurant and tea in Gangjin to rest your legs.
Gyeongpodae and a hot bath
Day one is the gentler Gyeongpodae route to the summit and back, then a soak at the hot-spring hotel. Day two skips the boots: the Wangin memorial park and Dogapsa at an easy pace.
Dogapsa to Cheonhwangsa
On day two you walk the 10 km traverse: Dogapsa, silver grass fields, Gujeongbong, Cheonhwangbong, then down over the bridge. Day one is a hanok night, and day three is temples and tea at the foot.
