Gamaek is short for gage maekju, shop beer: a Jeonju habit where a corner store turns into a beer hall at night, and this is its best-known address. Coal-grilled dried pollack (13,000 won) and rolled omelet (8,000) are the standard snacks. It closed for a stretch in summer 2025 but is open again, and some reviews say the refit has taken away some of the old-timer feel.
