Taebaeksan itineraries
Yuilsa, up and back
The gentlest way to the altar and back, then lunch, a museum and chicken stew in town. The right first day on Taebaeksan.
Yuilsa to Danggol
An 8.4 km traverse that comes down the other side instead of retracing. Day one crosses the ridge; day two is a limestone cave and an easy meal in town.
Taebaek to Jeongseon
Day one is Danggol to the altar via Mangyeongsa. Day two is a limestone cave and coal-briquette bread in Sabuk; day three starts at Hwangji Pond and the market. One hiking day, two easy ones.
