The one-way traverse climbs the steep rock ridge from the Uiam ticket office toward Sangwonsa, crosses Yonghwabong, then drops past the Heungguksa site and through the falls gorge to the Deungseon entrance. Going up, Uiam Lake stays under your feet; coming down, falls and creek sound follow you. Lake view and waterfalls on one mountain is why people recommend it. Park at Uiam and take a city bus back from across the road at the end.
