Odaesan itineraries
Birobong from Sangwonsa
The classic Odaesan climb: past a temple courtyard and the relic shrine to a broad, rounded summit. Back down, a mountain-greens meal and the fir avenue are waiting.
Noinbong and Sogeumgang
Day one is a gentle ridge walk from Jingogae to Noinbong; day two drops into the Sogeumgang gorge on the Gangneung side for falls and odd-shaped rocks. One ridge day, one gorge day.
Seonjae-gil to Sogeumgang
A day of stream-side walking from Woljeongsa to Sangwonsa, a day of 14 km down from Jingogae to Sogeumgang, then a loosening-up day at Daegwallyeong's sheep ranch and pollack country. Three walking speeds in one trip.
