The first stretch to Biseon Falls is the same as the valley route. There it turns away from Deungnyong Falls and climbs the ridge toward the Book Rock. Past the rock, steep slabs and iron stairs lead to the pavilion and then the summit. It is only 5.2 km but plan about three and a half hours. In return the lake views from the ridge are far wider than from the valley.
