From the car park you leave the main track near the waterwheel and take the right-hand ridge. Past the 683.8 m peak with its survey marker you reach a field of big rocks, and the flat rock beside them marks Sahyangbong. After 4th Peak comes one more steep push to the summit, then you drop into the Ikgeun-ri valley and pass Seungcheonsa on the way down. It takes about an hour longer than the valley-only route, with better ridge views.
