Mudeungsan itineraries
Jeungsimsa to the Stones
One city bus gets you to the trail, and at the top hexagonal stone columns stand like a folding screen. You finish with a bowl of barley rice, the classic Mudeungsan day.
Old Path and a Garden
Day one takes the shortest path to Seoseokdae and the Inwangbong summit stone. Day two loosens your legs in a Joseon garden among bamboo. The night is spent in the Chungjang-ro lanes.
Over the Ridge, Round Damyang
Day one crosses the mountain from Jeungsimsa to Wonhyosa, then you sleep in a heritage house by the stone-walled lanes of Damyang. Day two is Soswaewon and bamboo, and the last day closes with a cypress forest and market fried chicken.
