The walk starts behind the Sanyang-eup office. The 1.9 km to Hyeongeumsan climbs hard from the first step, and the sea shows up halfway. After that the ridge goes easy past a radio tower and a stone gate to Jeongtobong and Mireukchi. The last pitch to the top is rock with deck stairs. The way down passes Ttibatdeung and a cypress grove to the Yonghwasa plaza. Far fewer people than on the Yonghwasa side.
