Hwangtae-hoe buckwheat noodles at the Baekdamsa gate

A makguksu house on the road toward Baekdamsa in Yongdae-ri, said to be in its third generation and past 56 years. The signature is buckwheat noodles topped with spicy-seasoned hwangtae-hoe (pollack). Noodles are coiled in a heavy bowl with a shallow pour of broth. The pollack is reportedly aged about ten days.
