The climb starts at the Okcheon ticket gate, passes a stream at the beginning and then follows forest road almost all the way. It is 5.5 km and about two hours forty minutes up, but the track is wide and easy, good for children and older walkers. After Iryabong hut, taking the left trail skips the Okcheon junction and saves time.
