Hwangjangsan itineraries
Ansaengdal loop
Drive in from Seoul before dawn, walk the Ansaengdal loop, then eat wire-grilled pork with a sweaty appetite. The iron stairs and rock ridge are packed into a short distance.
Climb, then Danyang
Day one is the Hwangjangsan loop, dinner is garlic in Danyang. Day two is two riverside rocks at an easy pace, a rest day on purpose for tired legs.
Two nights in Mungyeong
Loosen your legs on the old Saejae road, hike on day two, then finish with a temple and Jinnam stew on the last day. Two nights of grilling in a valley pension yard are built in.
