Hallasan itineraries
Summit in a day
Leave Seongpanak at dawn, touch the crater rim and be back before dark. The classic choice if you only get one go at Hallasan.
Yeongsil to Eorimok
Skip the crater and cross the Witseoreum plateau instead: up from Yeongsil, down to Eorimok. Day two is a gentle round of forest, temple and noodles.
Gwaneumsa to Seongpanak
A warm-up day, then up the hardest trail and down the other side, then a slow last day among citrus groves and a cinder cone.
