This is the quickest route to the Doraksan summit, and the one to pick when the Sangseonam ridge is crowded. From the end of Naegunggi village the forest path starts gently, then turns to loose rock, stone steps and bare slabs. It is only 1.7 km one way, but it starts around 450 m and climbs more than 500 m, so your legs tire before the distance does. Past the trail junction the last 300 m or so to the top is easier. You come back the way you went up, so slow down on the slick rock.
