From the Dobong ranger post you pass the guide stone, cross the bridge on the left and climb toward Neungwonsa and Dobong Seowon. You pass the academy, Cheonchuksa temple and then Madang Rock, on a slope gentle enough that beginners are sent this way. There is none of the iron-pole climbing of the Sinseondae summit. The 20-minute walk from the station comes on top.
