Before the main path reaches Baengnyeonsa, turn off at the junction onto the Osujagul trail. Osujagul is a small cave under a boulder, and about 1.4 km of climbing leads from it to Jungbong. From Jungbong cross the Deogyupyeongjeon plateau to Hyangjeokbong, then drop past Baengnyeonsa for about 19.8 km in all. You never walk the same path twice, so it does not drag.
