Milje pass, Bokheung-myeon, Sunchang

Start at Milje on the Sunchang side and walk the Honam crest eastward. Pass Chuwol Rock, touch the summit, and allow about 3 hours to Insambatjae. Far fewer people use it than the lake-side approach, and you walk the whole ridge that runs on behind the summit marker. Beyond Insambatjae, Cheonchijae is another couple of hours on the longer traverse.
