From the Gyeonyangje embankment the Bokriam path goes straight onto a rock ridge. The first peak, Surisbong, takes about 1.5 hours with hands on the stone. Past it the ridge softens and the summit is about 40 minutes on. From the top, 1.2 km of wooden steps and ropes drop to the Boriam rock. At the fork, right runs straight to the car park and left goes up to Boriam. It is worth the detour even at the end of a long day.
