About 200 m from Jicheon crossroads toward Kkachinae, a signpost on the right marks the start. The 2.5 km to Samhyeongjebong is mostly ridge and easy at first. After the Janggok trail joins, a 100 m climb to the peak is the first real breather. From there it is 1.4 km along the north ridge to the summit with two short steep pitches. Samhyeongjebong itself is walled in by trees.
