From beside the wood-culture centre at the Chilgapho lakeside zone, a stair climbs to the ridge, where the lake and the centre take turns in view. The ridge then rolls gently through pines for 2.6 km to the forest road, leaving 1.2 km to the summit. Past the road the path turns properly steep, with stairs in the last 100 m. About 5 km to the top in all.
