A restaurant on the Cheontaesan approach road that does wild-mushroom hotpot: 50,000 won large, 30,000 small. Solo hikers go for the 10,000-won mushroom and beef rice soup. Pork and tofu jjagjari, mushroom-vegetable pancakes and acorn jelly salad are also on the list. It closes at 7pm, so a late descent means hurrying.
