From beside Jangcheonjae the path climbs past Yanggeunam and Jeongwonseok straight to Yeondaebong. It is 2.5 km one way and about 90 minutes, a shortcut that costs more breath than the Geumgang Cave line but saves plenty of time. The trail threads between boulders, then the silver-grass fields open on the ridge.
