From the Baegun Valley car park the trail passes Heungnyongsa, Baegunam and Hyangjeokbong to the summit, then follows the Samgakbong ridge back down toward the temple and the car park. It is a little over 8 km and takes about 4 hours. The climb is far longer than from Gwangdeok Pass, with steep stretches along the way.
