Baegunsan (Gwangyang) itineraries
Nonsil to Sangbong
Take the most direct line up Baegunsan, the Nonsil route, touch the 1,222 m summit, then cool your feet in the valley stream. A camellia forest and a charcoal-grilled dinner still fit in the same day.
Seongbulsa Ridge Traverse
Day one is the longest line on Baegunsan, a 12 km ridge from Seongbulgyo bridge to Sangbong. Day two is a slow loop of forest, temple site and valley while your legs recover.
Baegunsan and Hadong
Day one is a gentle round of temple site and valley, day two is a morning summit from Baegunsa. In the afternoon cross the Seomjin River to Hadong for tea fields and a riverside raw-fish dinner.
