From Jinteul village you follow the Byeongam stream for about an hour to Byeongam, then spend nearly another hour on a steep stony track and rock to reach the Jinteul junction. The ridge beyond leads past Sinseondae to the Sangbong summit. At 3.3 km one way it is the shortest route on Baegunsan, but the slope is steady and steep.
